How Crash games work

The mechanics behind the genre, and what's actually going on under the hood.

The core loop

Crash is one of the simplest bet formats in online casino gaming: every round starts at a 1.00x multiplier and climbs for as long as the round survives. You place a bet before the round starts, then decide when to cash out. The earlier you cash out, the safer (and smaller) the win; the longer you wait, the bigger the potential payout, but also the bigger the risk the round "crashes" before you click.

Every round ends at a randomly determined crash point. Some rounds bust almost immediately around 1.00x–1.10x; others run for a while and pay out 5x, 20x, or occasionally much more before crashing. There's no pattern to predict. Each round is an independent random event, weighted so that low multipliers are far more common than big ones.

Provably fair, on real-money platforms

On real-money crypto platforms like Gamdom, Crash rounds are typically generated with a provably fair algorithm: a cryptographic hash seeds the round's crash point before it starts, so the outcome is fixed in advance but can't be predicted or altered by the platform. After the round, you can verify the seed against the published hash to confirm it wasn't tampered with. The free demo above is a simplified simulation for practice only. It isn't provably fair, isn't connected to Gamdom's real round history, and exists purely so you can get a feel for the format before playing anywhere for real.

How to play our free Crash demo

No account, no download. Just refresh the page if you ever want a clean $1,000.00 balance.

  1. Set your bet amount

Type an amount or use the ½, 2×, and Max shortcuts. Betting is only open during the countdown between rounds. Once the multiplier starts climbing, the window closes until the next round.

  2. Watch the multiplier climb

Once a round starts, the multiplier rises from 1.00x and the graph line climbs with it. There's no way to know in advance where it'll crash, and that's the entire tension of the format.

  3. Cash out before it busts

Click "Cash Out" any time while the round is live to lock in your win at the current multiplier. Wait too long and the round can crash before you click, which loses the bet.

  4. Or set an auto cash-out

Toggle "Auto cash out" and set a target multiplier: the demo cashes out for you automatically the instant the multiplier reaches it, so you don't have to react in real time.

Crash strategy tips

None of this guarantees a win. Crash is a negative-expectation game, like every casino format, but these are the habits experienced players tend to follow.

Decide your cash-out target before the round starts

Watching the multiplier climb in real time makes it tempting to keep waiting "just a little longer." Picking a target multiplier in advance (or using auto cash-out) removes that in-the-moment pressure entirely.

Smaller, more frequent cash-outs reduce variance

Cashing out early and often (say, around 1.5x–2x) wins more rounds but for smaller amounts; holding out for big multipliers wins less often but pays much more when it hits. Neither approach changes the underlying odds; they just trade off how streaky your results feel.

Avoid chasing losses with bigger bets

Doubling your bet after a loss to "win it back" (a Martingale-style approach) can wipe out a bankroll fast once a long losing streak hits, and Crash rounds busting under 2x are common enough that streaks happen. Set a loss limit for the session and stick to it.

Remember this demo isn't the real odds

Our simulation is built to feel like a real Crash round, but its exact multiplier distribution is ours, not Gamdom's. Treat it as practice for the mechanic, not a way to study Gamdom's actual payout curve.

Crash demo FAQ

Is this free Crash demo real money?

No. The balance shown is a play-money number stored in your browser, starting at $1,000.00 and resettable any time with the Reset button. It has no cash value, can't be withdrawn, and doesn't connect to a real account anywhere.

Is this the same Crash game as Gamdom's?

No. This is our own independent simulation, built to demonstrate the format: bet, watch the multiplier, cash out before it busts. It isn't connected to Gamdom's servers, round history, or fairness system in any way. Gamdom's actual Crash game runs under its own provably fair protocol.

What's the house edge on Crash?

It varies by platform and isn't something we can verify for Gamdom specifically. Check their game rules or fairness page for the exact figure. Broadly, Crash games in this genre typically build in a house edge in the low single digits, similar to other fast-round casino originals.

Can I win real money playing Crash on Gamdom?

Yes — Gamdom is a real-money crypto casino, so Crash is played with your deposited crypto balance and wins have real cash value (unlike this practice demo). That also means losses are real, so only bet what you can afford to lose. See our full review for how Gamdom's bonus code and rakeback system works.

Do I need to sign up to try this demo?

No. This page needs no account, no email, and no download. Just place a demo bet and play.
